Ruth Ann Hutchcraft

Ruth Ann Hutchcraft, age 81, of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:01 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Ruth was born on Tuesday, March 12, 1935, in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Charles and Ivery (Snow) McDonald. She married Bill Hutchcraft and he preceded her in death. Ruth worked as a guard at the Illinois Youth Center in Harrisburg, before she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Ruth is survived by a son, David Hutchcraft and wife Joni of Harrisburg; daughter, Kay Hathaway and husband Mike of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Christy Hutchcraft, Kim Winters, Andrea Pullum, and Adam Hathaway; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles McDonald of Harrisburg, Jerry McDonald of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a sister, Margaret Spradling of Nettleton, Mississippi.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd McDonald.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Darrell Simon will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisburg Church of Christ and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
