Church offers college-level study program

Galatia New Life Church has partnered with Life Christian University to establish a new extension campus in Southern Illinois,"New Life Bible Institute."

Life Christian University, online at www.lcus.edu, has provided ministerial education for more than 20 years, with 100-plus campuses worldwide.

The new campus will be located at 111 South Hickory St. in Galatia.

Classes will start in September, and students will be able to work toward earning a certificate of completion, from one of several different areas of ministry (education, pastoral, counseling, etc).

Each year will consist of nine courses, and 72 hours of ministry study , that will be completed over a nine-month period. Students only attend one night per week, four weeks per course, three hours each week. New classes start every month, no prerequisites required.

The campus offers classes September through May, with graduations held in June each year. The first class begins Sept. 3. Students can choose to attend from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on

Saturday's.
