James Clarida

James Clarida 87 of Galatia passed away Tuesday September 27, 2016 12:10 P.M. at the Herrin Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1929 in Galatia to the late Mike & Minnie Clarida. Jim married Joyce M. (Osborne) Clarida on September 25, 1956 and she preceded in June 1999. Jim later married Velma (Downy) Barger Clarida and she survives. He was a Truck Driver for Mason Dixon Truck, a mason and also a member of the First Baptist Church of Galatia. Jim is survived by a daughter Tammy (Ron) Loera 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his wife Velma and a daughter in law Cindy Clarida, sister in law Mildred Clarida. He was preceded by his parents, wife Joyce a son Robert Clarida a daughter Kimberley K. Clarida, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Galatia with visitation Monday October 3, 2016 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia.
