Four HHS speakers advance to state
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">HARRISBURG – Four Harrisburg High School students advanced last Saturday to the Illinois High School Association Speech State Final in Peoria this Saturday.
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Micaylen Wolf, a senior, took first place in Informative Speaking for her speech “A Book That's More Than Words.”
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Senior Alex Watkins took second place in Original Oratory for his speech “Falling Short of the Dream.”
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Alex McRoy, a senior, and Chloe Thomas, a junior, took second place in Humorous Duet Acting for their performance “Perfect.”
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Harrisburg's speech team is coached by Tina Mondino, Benjie Willsey, Hannah Owen and Zach Hanks.
