Beta Delta awards scholarship to Harrisburg man

Veer Mehta of Harrisburg, a sophomore at Southeastern Illinois College, has been awarded a scholarship from the Beta Delta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa.

Mehta will attend Eastern Illinois University this fall to pursue a degree in teaching history.

The scholarship, an Illinois State ADK award, was presented May 11. He was recommended for the scholarship by Diane Kovach, a member of Beta Delta and the Illinois State Corresponding Secretary.

Alpha Delta Kappa is an honorary organization of women educators united in the common goals of educational excellence, altruism and world understanding.
