After high school, he moved to Taylorville and drove an oil truck. He also lived in Florida for a time, laying down sod. Moving back to Harrisburg, he worked in different businesses, whether it was driving or working on All Terrains or vehicles.

Jeff attended trainings, becoming certified in small engine repair, which he worked on for a number of years. He then moved on to become a machinist, and there was no engine he couldn't fix or run. He then obtained his CDL license and started driving again, which he was doing at the present time.
