Gerald Lee “Jerry” Crabb

<span>HARRISBURG &ndash; Gerald Lee &ldquo;Jerry&rdquo; Crabb, 78, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at his residence after a lengthy illness.</span>

<span>He was born June 24, 1938, in Maud, Oklahoma, to Odus and Juanita Collins Crabb. He married Carol Ann Crawford on Dec. 8, 1955, in Vandalia.</span>

<span>Jerry was a longtime owner and partner of Crabb & Crawford Accountants of Eldorado. He was a member of Harrisburg First United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a former youth leader. He also participated on many committees at the church.</span>

<span>He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, watching his grandkids and great-grandkids play sports, and spending time with his family and friends.</span>

<span>Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Carol; daughters, Mary (Mike) Reed of Harrisburg, Martha (Rocky) James of Eldorado and LeAnn (Doug) Miller of Junction; son, John (Amanda) Crabb of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Julie (Davy) Martin, Lucas (Laurin) Reed, Daniel Reed, Laura (Eric) Westbrook, Isabel Crabb, Isaac Crabb, Ian Crabb, Scott (Lisa) Reed and Nikki (Graham) Andrews; five great-grandchildren, Jack and Sam Martin, Kendall Reed and Ethan and Carter Reed; sister, Kathy (Gary) Smith of Harrisburg; brother-in-law, Jack Daugherty; and three sisters-in-law, Cindy Crawford, Nellie Koons and Jean Crawford; along with several nieces and nephews, best friends and special neighbors.</span>

<span>He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; sister, Bobbie Daugherty; brother-in-law and business partner, Carl Crawford; and brothers-in-law, Bob Koons and Dean Crawford.</span>

<span>Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, in Harrisburg First United Methodist Church with Pastor Christine Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the church.</span>

<span>For those who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Harrisburg First United Methodist Church, where envelopes will be available.</span>
