Prep Softball: Bearcats, Harris explode on Eldorado

Galatia sophomore Kennedy Harris went 5-for-5 at the plate, hitting for the cycle and finishing with 10 RBI as the Bearcats roared past Eldorado 21-3 in prep softball action Monday.

Lexi Johnson (2-3) picked up the win in the circle for Galatia as she worked three innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits and three strikeouts. Dani Reynolds came on in relief and worked two innings, allowing one run on one hit and two strikeouts.

Olivia Parker took the loss for Eldorado as she gave up 20 hits on the afternoon.

Offensively, the Bearcats were paced by Harris who had a home run, a triple, double and two singles, while Katie Ramsey went 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Maddy Murphy and Cassie Cotter each went 2-for-4. Murphy had three RBI on the day, while Cotter had a triple and one RBI. Kayli Clarida was 2-for-2 with an RBI for the Bearcats.

Caitlin Stafford was 2-for-3 with a triple for the Eagles in the loss.

Galatia returns to action today (Tuesday) hosting Crab Orchard at 4:30 p.m. and will host NCOE on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
