Alumni Corner: A weekley review of local athlets in college

Lindsey Murray - Ole Miss

Murray matched her outdoor personal best and broke a five-year-old school record with her pole vault clearance of 13-feet-10 to earn fifth place. She eclipsed Neal Tisher's 2011 school record (13-9.75) by a quarter-inch.

Taylor Goodley - Austin Peay

Goodley shot an 81 on the first day of the Ohio Valley Conference women's golf championship at The Highlands Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove Monday. Goodley birdied the first hole, but quickly went to 1-under to 1-over with a double bogey on No. 2. The Eldorado native had two more doubles on the back nine as the Austin Peay women's golf team sits in fourth place after Day 1.

Ashton Goodley - Austin Peay

Much like her twin sister, Ashton birdied the first hole Monday and avoided any double bogey's to shoot a first round 79, leaving her tied for 20th after Day 1 of the OVC women's golf championship at The Highlands Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove Monday.
