Prep Baseball: Bulldogs rally past Massac Co.

It was a come-from-behind effort as Harrisburg erupted for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past Massac County 4-3 Monday.

Noah Vallette sparked the rally with a home run, driving in two and going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Bronson Stanley was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Patrick Bittle and Noah Mayer each had a hit for the Bulldogs, who improve to 7-3 overall and 2-3 in Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio play.

On the bump, Bryce Emery got his first win of the season with a seven inning performance.

The senior allowed three runs (two earned) on nine hits, while striking out eight and walking three.

The Bulldogs are set to play host to Benton today (Tuesday) at 4:30 p.m. and will host Carmi-White County on Wednesday.

On Friday, Harrisburg will play at Murphysboro and end the week, hosting Vandalia on Saturday at Noon.
