Prep Softball: Stafford, Newton highlight BDC All- Conference

Carmi-White County's Kayla Chappelle was named Most Valuable Player by the and Johnston City's Bailey Pulley was named Captain after the Black Diamond Conference announced its All-Conference Team recently.

Both players, a pair of seniors, made the BDC First Team and were joined by Carmi's Morgan Combs, Madison Wenzel and Makynna Shaffer. Johnston City's Nicole Johnson and Leaha Wininger joined Fairfield's Morgan Gregory and Christina Walker and Eldorado's Caitlyn Stafford.

Second Team honors went to Hamilton County's Carly Sullivan and Emily Blades, along with Johnston City's Lexi King and Cheyenne Smith. The Fairfield duo of Kylar Slover and Whitney Baker made the list, along with, Carmi-White County's Bree Owen and Eldorado's Madison Newton.

Honorable Mention honors went to Hamilton County's Sydney Williams and Cory Grubb, Johnston City's Barilynn Shelby and Morgan Andrews and Fairfield's Chloe Newman and Mackenzie Conrad.
