Prep Baseball: Trio of local baseball players named SICA All-South

A trio of local baseball players were recently named to the Southern Illinois Coaches Association All-South Team.

Harrisburg's Noah Vallette and Eldorado's Stanton Hathaway, a pair of seniors, joined Gallatin County's junior Seth Ramsey on the team.

Others named to the team included Benton's Derek Oxford and Dillan Chamness, along with Carmi's Tyler Barbre and Travis Black. Carterville put on Kaleb Vaughn and Blake Jackson, Century's Adam Jones, Chester's Jason Schwartz and Cobden's Logan Spalt and JT Moore.

Lane Hutson represented Crab Orchard and Brock Bullar from Du Quoin also made the team.

Goreville's Brodie Lenon, Brant Glidewell and Jared Vaugh and Herrin's Jacob Hardline were also on the list.

Rounding out the list included Johnston City's Lucas Crow, Marion's Braden White, Massac County's Jay Benard, Mt. Vernon's Blake Jones and Aaren Morgan, along with Murphysboro's Marshall Grammar and Braden Miller, Nashville's Cody Bauza, Ryan Brink and Jaris Dalman, NCOE's Chase Suton, Okawville's Brenden Killion and Brad Furhop and Pinckneyville's Clayton Highland, along with, Salem's Riley Martin, Shawnee's Nick Crane, Trico's Trenton Koch, Vienna's Jarrod Wiggs, Waltonville-Sesser-Valier's Ryan Majewsaki, West Frankfort's Dalton O'Connor and ZRC's Gabe Schimpf.
