American Legioin: Harrisburg falls late to Evansville

On Saturday, Harrisburg Post 167 squandered a 7-2 lead and lost 10-9 in nine innings to Evansville at Gibbs Field.

Harrisburg led 7-2 in the seventh and Evansville scored seven run to take a 9-7 lead. Post 167 rallied in the bottom half of the frame to force extra innings, but Evansville got the game-winning run in the ninth to win it.

"It was a tough loss, but our guys battled all day in what was one of our hottest games all year," Harrisburg head coach Doug Emery said.

Harrisburg was scheduled to play a double header at Fairfield on Sunday.
