Local: Playing Fore Kids

Dale Fowler called it, just the right amount of kids for just the right event.

Around 75 youth golfers showed up to the Fowler-Bonan Clothes For Kids Golf Tournament recently at Shawnee Hills Country Club and while the temps were hot, the focus was still on having fun.

It was the 14th annual event held at the Harrisburg golf course and Fowler said with its growth every year, it keeps getting better.

"We raised a lot of money that will go towards putting clothes on under privileged children," Fowler said. We keep this (tournament) as non-competitive as possible, but the main things is for the kids to have fun."
