Prep Golf: Eldorado boys beat Sparta
he Eldorado boys' golf team earned its first win of the season Monday, knocking off Sparta at Carterville.
Eldorado, paced by a pair of 46's from Braden Unthank and Evan Coyle, helped the Eagles to a 195-218 win over Sparta.
The Eagles also got a 51 from Jack Mings and a 52 from John Amberger for the top four scores.
Eldorado is now 1-1 on the season and will return to action today (Tuesday) at Hamilton County.
Eldorado Girls
On the girls' side, Carterville posted a 209, knocking off Eldorado who finished with a 230 to start the season.
Keeley Tate led the Eagles with a 51, followed by Derian Corn's 57. Kileah Lowery carded a 58 and Kelsey Agin had a 64.
Harrisburg Girls
Ali Ferrell shot a 61 for Harrisburg, while Mikayla Riggs carded a 66 in a match against Mt. Carmel Monday. Madeline DeNeal finished with a 71 and AnnaBella Robinson brought home a 72.
