Prep Golf: Eldorado Boys Preview

Eldorado Boys' Golf

Last Year's Record: 3-20

Postseason: N/A

Coach: Chad Albers, 5th year

Key Losses: Sam Coker, Josh Rice

Top Returners: John Amberger, Jack Mings, Ely Boulds, Ben Byrd

Strengths: EHS head coach Chad Alberts has two incoming freshmen Evan Coyle and Braden Unthank, along with the two seniors, Amber and Mings that he believes will provide leadership.

Weakness: While Eldorado has the leadership on one side, they don't have the experience on the other. The incoming freshmen, along with the sophomores, don't provide a lot of varsity playing time for the Eagles

Biggest Improvement From Last Year: Eldorado is learning to make adjustments on the fly and according to Albers, not letting the bad hole bother his team as much as it has in the past.

What Does It Take To Have A Successful Season: " The guys are going to have to give their best effort, practice on days when they can get to the course just in order to continue to get better," Albers said.

Outlook: Albers wants to be one of the top teams in the Black Diamond Conference and be in the mix come regional tournament play. "A couple of guys know what it takes and what our scores need to be," Albers said. "The guys seem driven by that and the seniors are pushing the younger ones."
