Prep Golf: Mings leads Eagles to win over Z-R

The Eldorado High School boys' golf team moved to 4-4 on the year with a 192-199 win over Zeigler-Royalton.

Jack Mings took medalist honors for the Eagles, firing a 44, while Ethan Coyle carded a 46. John Amberger and Brandon Unthank each had a 51.

Also playing for Eldorado was Ben Byrd, who carded a a 52 and Ely Boulds finished with a 58

Eldorado Girls

The Eldorado girls fell to Ziegler-Royalton 254-242, where Eagle senior Keeley Tate had the low round with a 53.

Kelsey Agin shot a 55, while Derian Corn added a 67 and Chloe Hopkins finished with a 79.

Eldorado is now 0-3 on the season.

"We did some things better today," head coach Greg Goodley said. "We still have to stay away from the big score on a few holes."
