Prep Golf: Jenkins takes medalist honors; Girls fall to Carbondale

Garrett Jenkins took medalist honors with a 33 late last week and Camden Schiff shot a 44 for Harrisburg in a dual match with Eldorado.

For the Eagles, Jack Mings shot a 44, while Branden Unthank and Evan Coyle each fired a 46. John Amberger provided a 49 and Ben Byrd finished with a 54.

Ali Ferrell shot a 54 for the Harrisburg girls' golf team as Gabby Adams added a 57, while Mikayla Riggs shot a 65. Madeleine DeNeal finished with a 69 and Annabella Robinson carded a 72.

The Harrisburg High School boys' golf team will host Mt. Vernon on Tuesday and will be at Benton on Thursday. The Bulldog girls will compete at the SIRR Conference Tournament Tuesday at Hickory Ridge and will be at Carmi-White County Friday.
