Prep Girls Hoops: Morgan, West Frankfort knocks off Eldorado

Despite putting five players in double figures, the Eldorado girls’ basketball team didn’t have much of an answer for West Frankfort’s Morgan Griffith as she scored a game-high 61 points as the Redbirds rolled to a 90-64 win over the Eagles last Thursday.

Rachel Stafford and Derian Corn shared high-honors for Eldorado with 13 points a piece, while Olivia Parker, Takiya Britton and Paige Munds all had 10 points for the Eagles.

Eldorado travels to Edwards County (tonight) Monday and will be at Massac County Tuesday. On Thursday, the Eagles play host to Carmi-White County, starting at 6:15 p.m. at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.
