GEC Roundup: Gallatin Co., CMSF get wins over weekend

Gallatin County put three players in double figures, including a team-high 21 points from Aaron Walters as the Hawks knocked off Elverado 72-52 Saturday afternoon at home.

Walkers went 7-of-8 from 3-point range, helping the Hawks to their fourth straight win as they improved to 12-5 overall and 4-0 in the Greater Egyptian Conference standings.

Audie Goebel netted 19 points for Gallatin County, while Seth Ramsey tacked on 11 points, finishing with eight assists, six rebounds and four steals in the win.

Robbie Prince had nine points for Gallatin County, which returns to action Tuesday night on the road at Norris City-Omaha-Enfield.

<strong>Carrier Mills 46, Thompsonville 28</strong>

Justice Hill scored a game-high 16 points as Carrier Mills beat Thompsonville 46-28 Saturday night in a game made up from Friday night&rsquo;s ice storm.

Will Gibbs netted nine for the Wildcats, while Dylan Schwartz added eight for CMSF as they improved to 7-11 overall.

Justin Austin scored seven points for Kiel Pebbles and company, while Brody Walker chipped in with six.
