Prep Girls Hoops: Gallatin County, Harrisburg win at LEMWC

Hailey Chubb was one of four Gallatin County basketball players to score in double figures as the Hawks earned a 96-90 triple overtime win over Vienna Monday afternoon at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.

Chubb scored a season-high 46 points for Gallatin County, while Audrey Jackson netted 19. Harley Turner tacked on 11 for the Hawks and Morgan Roderick rounded out the double figure scoring with 10 points.

Caitlin Lynch added eight points GCHS and Avery Scates tacked on two points.

Vienna was led by Holhubner had 45 points for the Eagles and was one of three other players to score in double figures for VHS.

<strong>Harrisburg 50, Mt. Carmel 38</strong>

Jessica Hopson dumped in 15 points, while Lotte Miller (13) and Matty Hawkins (10) also finished in double figures, helping Harrisburg to a a50-38 win over Mt. Carmel Monday night at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic.

Brooke Meylor, Karsyn Davis and Toni Crisp all finished with four points.

The tournament continues tonight (Tuesday) with Goreville playing Mt. Carmel at 5 p.m., followed by Vienna and Benton at 6:30 and Gallatin County vs. Anna-Jonesboro at 8 p.m.
