Prep Girls Hoops: Galatia gets by Wane City

Galatia improved to 7-12 on the season with a 45-42 win over Wayne City at home Monday night.

Kassidy Rizor had a team-high 15 points on the night for the Bearcats, while Kennedy Harris was very effective at getting to the rim and finished with 14 points.

Madison Murphy scored seven points, while Mallory Mays chipped in with six points. Sara Simpson tacked on two points and Baley Crisp tossed in a free throw.

We knew coming in that Wayne City would be tough for us to guard in the post,” Galatia head coach Denise Clayton said. “Mallory Mays did an excellent job of denying her the ball and limiting her play down low. Kassidy Rizor stepped up for us tonight scoring 15 points and controlling the defensive boards.”

Galatia returns to action Monday, playing host to Webber Township.
