Prep Girls Hoops: Benton beats Gallatin Co. at LEMWC

The Gallatin County girls’ basketball team fell to Benton 46-42 at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic in Eldorado Thursday night.

Hailey Chubb led the Hawks in scoring with 25 points, bringing her career total of 1,960.

Harlie Turner added eight points for GCHS, while Caitlin Lynch finished with five points. Audrey Jackson and Morgan Roderick each finished with two points in the loss.

Gallatin County returns to action tonight (Friday) when they take on Carmi-White County at 5 p.m. Following that game will be Harrisburg vs. Goreville at 6:30 p.m. and Fairfield vs. Mt. Carmel at 8 p.m. closes out the night.
