Nona Bryant

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Nona Bryant, 78, of Delwood community, Pope County, passed away July 15, 2008, at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1930, in Carrier Mills, to Lee Roy and Margeah (Russell) Chaney. She was united in marriage to William "Bob" Bryant on May 29, 1948. William preceded her on July 17, 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband Layton Howerton of Riverton, Wyo.; son, Cliff Bryant of Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Brenda Faris of South Chicago Heights; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Effie and husband John Erkman of Ohio; cousin, Louis and wife Karen Shaw of Carrier Mills; sister-in-law, Mary Harding of Stonefort; brother-in-law, Paul Pritchett of Stonefort; four nieces; one great-niece; and three great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Ben Chaney.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Harrisburg and a faithful member of Sauk Trail Baptist Temple in Richton Park. In addition to caring for her children and grandchildren Nona was the accountant for her husband's General Contracting Company.

Services are 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery , Delwood. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008, and 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at Aly Funeral Home.
