Donald Howard Talkington

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald Howard Talkington, 75, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Shawnee Rose Care Center, Harrisburg.

Donald was born on March 4, 1935, in Harco to Walter Coleman and Isabel (Miles) Talkington.

Donald was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed going to the county fairs. He worked for Saline County.

He is survived by his sister, Doris June (J.R.) Fletcher of Thompsonville; a nephew, Dennis (Kendra) Fletcher of Benton; two nieces, Debbie (Ron Patterson) Gillis of Thompsonville and Sheila (Clyde) Trout of Johnston City; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. John Robinson officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday. Burial will be in Brushy Creek Cemetery.
