Lucille Yvonne Cogdill

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lucille Yvonne Cogdill, 72, Herod, passed away at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg.

She was born on May 18, 1938, in Harrisburg to the late Randall and Virginia (Baker) Banks. On June 14, 1956, she married Kenneth Cogdill, and he survives.

Lucille was a registered nurse and worked at the Al Bowen Center until it closed and Turner Manor until she retired. She was a member of the Herod Springs Baptist Church and the Pride of Arrow Rebekah Lodge of Harrisburg.

Surviving family members include her husband, Kenneth Cogdill of Herod; three children, Jenny (Ernie) Pierce of Carrier Mills, Kevin Cogdill of Marissa and Pam Cogdill of Marion; six grandchildren, Jeremy Weberling of Champaign, Clint Milam of Herod, Lenae Milam of Carrier Mills, Christian Pierce of Carrier Mills, Alexei Cogdill of Marissa and Evan Cogdill of Marissa; three sisters, Garnetta (Gene) Harrison of Herod, Jean (Jim) Cosner of Herod and Sharron Wood of Herod; and one brother, Randall Banks of Christopher.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. David Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Herod. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline Care Center Activity Fund.
