Dr. James Armour Estate to be featured on HGTV show

A one-of-a-kind residence in Hardin County will be featured on the HGTV program "Home Strange Home" and the public is invited to watch the filming on Halloween.

The property was the brainchild of infamous Jungian-trained psychologist Dr. James Armour and used as his personal home and retreat.

Armour taught psychology at Southeastern Illinois College for years. He died leaving his Cave House retreat - with numerous rooms arranged to provoke meditation and wonder - as a legacy.

L'Erin Ragon, managing broker for United Country - Exodus Realty of Carbondale, will act as the subject matter expert as the reality TV show explores the unique Armour Estate.

The production team for "Home Strange Home" will be shooting footage at the property on Halloween, a fitting day for this one-of-a-kind property. They have stated that the public are welcome to stop by and watch the filming.
