OBITUARY: Neil Franklin Stuby

Word has been received of the passing of former Eldorado resident Neil Franklin Stuby. Neil passed away at his residence in Naples, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, after his battle with cancer.

He was born in Eldorado on Feb. 23, 1947, to Franklin and Lucille (McCluskey) Stuby.

He was a 1965 graduate of Eldorado High School and Eldorado city schools. Many may remember him as a four-year varsity basketball player. In his senior year he scored 38 points in a single game which equaled the Eldorado record at that time. In July of 1966 he volunteered into the U.S. Army, where he served until receiving his honorable discharge.

He was retired from Westinghouse/Siemens after 25 years serving as a field engineer and project manager on many large projects for them. He lived in Santa Maria, Calif., for three years while managing the MX missile silos work for Westinghouse at Vandenberg air base.

He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family in the Eldorado area and his former coffee friends at BABA's Diner in Shorewood.
