Joey Lauren Adams has booked a two-episode arc as the mother of Toby's fiancée. The casting news comes after Switched at Birth creator Lizzy Weiss recently tweeted a photo of Adams and Lucas Grabeel, who plays Toby, TVLine reports.

Best known for Mallrats and Chasing Amy , in recent years she has guest-starred on Party Down and United States of Tara .

Adams will appear in the Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 episodes of the ABC Family series, which airs Mondays at 8/7c.
