Kris Kross' Chris Kelly Died of Drug Overdose
Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly died of an overdose, The Associated Press reports.
Kelly's toxicology screening revealed that he had a mixture of drugs in his system when he died on May 1 at 34, Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office in Atlanta announced Monday.

Kelly was found unresponsive on his living room couch at his home in Atlanta. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but Kelly was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Honey did not know the specifics of the drugs Kelly had used prior to his death, but a police report reveals that the rapper's mother said her son used cocaine and heroin the night before he died and had a history of drug abuse.
Kelly rose to fame as part of the rap duo Kris Kross in the early '90s. Kelly, known as "Mac Daddy," performed alongside Chris Smith, who went by "Daddy Mac." The pair was best known for wearing their clothes backward and their 1992 hit "Jump."
