Prep Basketball: Herrin leaves Eldorado Holiday Tournament
The Eldorado Holiday Tournament, which will be approaching its 50th year this December will have a new look, at least when it comes to one team.
Herrin Hight School's contract with the EHT expired after this past season and earlier this week the Tigers signed a new contract, returning to the Carbondale Holiday Tournament.
The Tigers had been a participant of the EHT for the past five seasons. In that time, Herrin went 12-7 under Irv Lukens with a second place finish to Harrisburg in 2011.
No word yet from Eldorado officials on who will replace Herrin to maintain the 16-team field.
