Kennedy Rose Pursell

Kennedy Rose Pursell, five month old daughter of Douglas R. and Amanda D. (Ritter) Pursell, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:14 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at the St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Kennedy was born March 16, 2014 at St. Louis, Mo.

She is survived by her parents of Du Quoin, one sister - Charlee Deanne Pursell of Du Quoin, grandparents - Ronald and Carol Ritter and Edgar and Margaret 'Peg' Pursell Jr., all of Du Quoin, great grandparents - Patricia A. Pursell of Pinckneyville, William and Lois Underwood of Royalton, Ill., aunts and uncles - Angela Millette and husband Robert of Du Quoin, Aaron Ritter and wife Tracy of Union, Mo., Andrew Ritter and wife Pamela of Pinckneyville and Eddie Pursell and wife Pamela of Du Quoin, 13 cousins and numerous extended family.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents - Edgar A. Pursell Sr., Lloyd and Florence Middleton, Bernard and Mary Ann Ritter and La Donna Underwood.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Mark Buetow officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.

Friends may make memorials to St. Louis Children's Hospital NICU and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Doug, Amanda and Charlee would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during the last five months.
