Edna M. Schwarz

Edna M. Schwarz, age 92, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at 9:38 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, Ill.

Edna was born on Oct. 16, 1921 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to William H. and Clara (Caupert) Schrader. On Sept. 4, 1948, she married Gerhardt "Gary" Schwarz in Trinity Lutheran Church, Conant, Ill. They just celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage. Edna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, baking cookies and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Gerhardt "Gary" Schwarz of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a son, Jerry Schwarz of Pinckneyville, Ill.; grandson, Skyler Schwarz of Du Quoin, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Donna Schwarz of Du Quoin, Ill.; two brothers, Edwin (Flossine) Schrader of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Bill (Georgia) Schrader of Pinckneyville, Ill.; one sister, Wilma (Jack) Ewing of Pinckneyville, Ill.; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Dean Schwarz; two brothers, Clarence Schrader and Harold Schrader and one sister, Gertrude Schrader.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Kollmeyer officiating. Interment will be in Lost Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill., on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Lost Prairie Cemetery.
