OBITUARY: Gary Dean Mott

Gary Dean Mott, 66 of Harrisburg, formerly of Hardin County, went to be with the Lord at 2:12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at his residence.

Gary was born on Dec. 18, 1947, in Rosiclare to Dallas and Wanda Flynn. On Feb. 3, 2005, he married Christina Abell and she survives. Gary served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969.

Surviving family members include his wife, Christina Mott; son, Garison (Linda) Mott of Cave-In-Rock; five grandchildren, Jordan (Allie) Mott, Joshua Mott, Hunter Fields, Emma Mott and Madison Mott; three sisters, Rosemary (Gary) Shores of Cave-In-Rock, Barbara Flynn of Kuttawa, Ky., and Brenda Goolsby of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Larry (Joyce) Flynn of Metropolis and Mike (Laura) Flynn of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Wanda Flynn.

His body had been cremated and graveside services will be held at a later date. Reed Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
