Heritage Festival coming to SIC Nov. 2 and 3
The 46th-annual Heritage Festival at Southeastern Illinois College returns the first weekend in November. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Festival-goers can expect a wide variety of handcrafted items and delicious food. More than 75 vendors will showcase their unique wares, marking the start of the holiday shopping season. Items include pet clothing, handmade jewelry, fall and holiday décor, boutique clothing, antiques, collectibles, specialty dip mixes, screen-printed tees, hair bows, scarves, blankets, handcrafted soaps, candles, wood crafts and more.
“We’re thrilled to host the Heritage Festival once again at SIC,” said director Lori Cox. “This event has become a beloved tradition in our community, and we’re excited to offer a fantastic lineup of vendors—both familiar faces and new additions. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with unique finds and great food.”
No festival is complete without food. Attendees can indulge in homemade candies, nuts, baked goods, and more. The Falcon Bistro will serve turkey and dressing, chicken and dumplings, salads, sandwiches, pizza, and desserts.
Admission and parking are free, with handicapped parking available. For more information, contact Lori Cox at 618-252-5400, ext. 2302, or email lori.cox@sic.edu. Follow the Heritage Festival on Facebook at facebook.com/SICHeritageFestival.
