Local towns get fee break at Super Splash Park in Carbondale

CARBONDALE - The Carbondale Park District invites families from across the region to beat the heat at the Super Splash Park, 625 S. Lewis Lane in Carbondale.

The Super Splash Park offers Dollar Off Days, with reduced entry fees for nonresidents one day per week. Each Wednesday, guests who live outside of the Carbondale Park District can come for $1 off regular nonresident rates. Prices for this special promotion day are $4 each for youth ages 3-17, $6.50 each for adults ages 18-54, and $5.25 each for seniors ages 55 and over.

Upcoming Dollar Off Days for local communities are: Wednesday, July 5, Murphysboro; Wednesday, July 12, Du Quoin; Wednesday, July 19, Marion; Wednesday, July 26, Benton and Wednesday, Aug. 2, Harrisburg.

The splash park features a relaxing and leisurely lazy river, a curved water slide, a beach-style leisure pool with interactive play structures, and an eight-lane lap pool with diving boards.

Other amenities are a large deck with shade, a concession stand, a party pavilion for private parties, locker rooms, showers, and a family dressing area.
