Gretchen Wilson, Uncle Kracker, Aaron Tippin and Darryl Worley to perform free shows at 2013 fair

Good things come to those who wait as the weekend announcement was made that performers Gretchen Wilson, Uncle Kracker, Aaron Tippin and Darryl Worley will perform at free sponsored shows during the Du Quoin State Fair.

An Uncle Kracker show will be sponsored by Black Diamond Harley-Davidson and Jackson Pools and Spas Friday, Aug. 23, Rednour said.

He will perform in the beer tent as he did two years ago.

Worley will be on state during the second annual Veterans Appreciation Night in the grandstand--now called the Illinois Lottery Grandstand--on Sunday, Aug. 25.

The show will include a fireworks display after the concert. Worley is being brought to the fair by Francis Pass of Pass One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, Continental Tire, Peoples National Bank of Southern Illinois and Cellular Connection.

Illinois native and "Redneck Woman" Gretchen Wilson will perform Wednesday, Aug. 28. Wilson's show is sponsored by the Illinois Lottery and is part of the lottery's Anything's Possible Music Series that will take place throughout the state.

Country musician Aaron Tippin will be sponsored by Republic Services, which owns CWI waste management. He will also perform during a CWI employee picnic.

The announcement were made at a press conference on Saturday.

Jared March, promotions manager for the Illinois Lottery, was there for the Gretchen Wilson announcement.
