Today's News: Our Take - NBC Readies New Sketch Comedy Show

Move over, Saturday Night Live - there's a new sketch comedy series coming to NBC.

The network has partnered with Lou Wallach, the former senior vice president of original programming at Comedy Central, for the as-yet-untitled show, according to The Hollywood Reporter . NBC plans to send talent scouts to major cities around the country to find performers in the improv and stand-up circuits to make up the show's cast.

Executives are hoping to create a series similar to In Living Color or The Carol Burnett Show, according to THR. Unlike SNL, the new show will not be live.
