Today's News: Our Take - Howard Stern Sidekick Robin Quivers Reveals Cancer Battle
Robin Quivers, the sidekick on Howard Stern's radio show, revealed Mondaythat she has been battling cancer for more than a year, but she's now cured.
Quivers, 61, first left the show in May of 2012 to have a tumor removed from her bladder. She subsequently underwent radiation and chemotherapy and said that doctors told her three months ago that she is now cancer-free.

The news came as a huge relief to her colleagues, especially Stern. "I gotta be honest, I thought she was a goner," he said during Monday's broadcast. "I was already making funeral arrangements. ... I can't tell you how dire everything seemed."
While she was receiving treatment, Quivers continued to appear on Stern's radio show from home. "It never occurred to me not to be on the air," she saidMonday. "When I was on the air, I was pain-free."
