OBITUARY: Tessie Stephenson

Tessie Stephenson, 87, of Eldorado, passed away Oct. 9, 2013, after a brief fight with cancer.

The former Tessie Kingston was born in Equality and experienced the unforgettable 1937 flood. She was the youngest child of Maggie Kingston. Tessie moved at a young age to Pontiac, Mich., to find work and found true love at first sight.

She married Donald and raised four kids in Pontiac before retiring to Florida where she lived for 26 years.

She returned to Eldorado full time in 2005 and thoroughly enjoyed her final years paling around with her nephew David Prather and niece Carolyn Boulds. She lived her final days in Michigan with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
