OBITUARY: Roberta A. Cook

Roberta A. Cook, age 60 of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:38 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Roberta was born on Wednesday, May 26, 1954, in Franklin County, to the late Frank E. Cook Jr. and Ida Frances (Taylor) Cook. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg and she worked formerly for United Cities Gas and Old National Bank.

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Roberta is survived by a brother, Mike Cook and wife Linda of Harrisburg; niece, Amy Quinn and husband Michael of Harrisburg; nephew, Jeremy Cook and wife Elizabeth of Harrisburg; six great-nieces and -nephews, Hannah Murphy, Andra Murphy, Mesa Quinn, Hailey Quinn, Henry Quinn and Evan Cook; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Christine Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
