OBITUARY: Zola Elizabeth Cochran
Zola Elizabeth Cochran, 99, a resident of Eldorado, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital.
Zola was born June 12, 1915, in Lockman, Iowa, to the late Orvil and Eva (Forrest) Christie. On Sept. 10, 1932, she married George A. Cochran, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Eldorado. She retired from Crabb and Crawford Accountants.
Zola is survived by her son, George Alfred Cochran Jr.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Orvill Cochran; three brothers, Wayne Christie, George Christie and Danny Brock; a sister, Shirley Meyers; a nephew, Leslie Worthey; two nieces, Mary Woolard and Helen Bixenman; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with the Rev. L.D. Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
