OBITUARY: Kathleen Shoultz

Kathleen Shoultz, 81 of Sheridan, Wyo., formerly of Omaha, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County, Wyo.

Kathleen was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Shawneetown to Howard and Ruth (Trusty) Goforth. She grew up and attended schools in Omaha. Kathleen married John Shoultz on Aug. 13, 1949, in Kentucky. They lived in several places before settling in Sheridan in 1972. Kathleen was a homemaker taking care of her husband and raising her family. She was a member of UMWA Women's Auxiliary. Kathleen enjoyed reading, doing crotchet and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband; son, David; and granddaughters, Crystal Shoultz and Carla Durst. Kathleen is survived by her sons, John and Jeff Shoultz; daughters, Janice Burke, Debbie Harrelson, Jeanette Hallman and Susan Meyers; brothers, Ron Tarrant and Raymond Goforth; sisters, Jane Knave, Carolyn Funkhouser and Linda Mathis; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Kathleen will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery near Omaha.
