Marion 'Hack' Wilson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marion "Hack" Wilson, 86, Olney, died 7:06 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Olney with the Rev. Scott Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Olney.

He was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Eldorado to John Marion and Sarah Elizabeth (Dillard) Wilson. On Sept. 14, 1947, he married Doris Beatrice Grisham in Eldorado, and she preceded him in death on March 22, 2003.

He had worked as an insurance agent and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. He was a U.S. Army veteran, where he served as a medic in Guam during World War II. He moved from Flora to Olney in 1961 to manage the Ford dealership. Following this, he worked in the insurance industry before joining Primerica Financial Services, obtaining ownership of his franchise in 2004.

Survivors include three daughters, Marla Wilson of Olney, Sheryl (Douglas) Bunten of Robinson and Sherry (Michael) Mitchell of Olney; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Richie) Preece, Jason (Mary) Groff, Tara (Brian) Lemke, Evan Mitchell, Erica Bunten and Craig Bunten; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Linda Dolph, and a special nephew, Phil Gower.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Norma.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Olney.
