Robert Lee 'Bobby Jack' Walker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Robert Lee "Bobby Jack" Walker, 83, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Bobby Jack was born on Friday, July 9, 1926, at Harrisburg, to the late Arthur and Julia (Hicks) Walker. He married Martha Lou McClusky in 1948, and she preceded him in death in 1994. He then married Mary Cathern Bush in 1994 and she survives in Harrisburg.

Bobby Jack was a retired coal miner and state mine inspector. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church and the American Legion Post No. 167 of Harrisburg.

In addition to his wife, Mary Cathern Walker, Bobby Jack is survived by four sons, Darrell Walker of Harrisburg, Gary Walker and wife Debra of Harrisburg, Lyndell Walker and wife Ann of Galatia and George Popetz and wife Celia of Harrisburg; two stepsons, Duane McClusky and wife Cherie of Taylor Ridge and David McClusky and wife Mindy of Galesburg; two stepdaughters, Cathy McClusky of Eldorado and Caryn Lyle of Harrisburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Lou Walker; two brothers, Wendell and Kenneth Walker; and two sisters, Marie Price and Lois Edwards.

Funeral services for Robert Lee "Bobby Jack" Walker, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Mark Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Building Fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
