Bobby L. Furlong

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bobby L. Furlong, 79, Waterford, Mich., formerly of Harrisburg, died Friday, July 10, 2009.

He was the loving husband of Joanne Furlong for 29 years; dear father of Kathy (Val) Jacoby, Gary (Steve) Green, Richard Furlong, Kerry (James) Rayment, Kelly (Chris) Babin and Denise (Steve) Clawson; grandfather of Lindsey, Bailey, Trista, Kassandra, Samantha, Ryan, Kyle, Brody, Mackenzie, Christopher, Daniel and the late Ashley Furlong; brother of Junior (Onedia), Lowell (Linda) and Velma Furlong and Mary Ruth (Otis) Threet; and sister-in-law, Georgia Furlong.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pleas and Margie Layman Furlong; brothers, Jim, John, Luke, Hubert, Charlie, Carl and Freeman; many loving relatives, friends and his special group of friends at the Clarkston DaVita.

Mr. Furlong was retired from General Motors Pontiac Motor Division and was a Korean War veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Wal-Mart in White Lake and also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the Riverside Chapel of Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Mich.
