</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruby Nell Acree, 62, of 1204 W. Concord St., Marion, died 1:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Herrin Hospital.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Linton, Ky. Burial will be in Linton, Ky. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at the Boyeton Street Community Center in Marion. Arrangements are in the charge of Felty Funeral Home, Carrier Mills.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1946, in Linton, Ky., to the late George Roscoe and Flossie (Stewart) Tyler Sr.
She was retired from General Dynamics, formerly Olan. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Linton, Ky.
She is survived by two sons, James Phil Acree of Marion and Daniel Jun Acree Jr. of Johnston City; two daughters, Stephanie (Richard) Cavanaugh of Marion and Arnetta Acree of Cambria; a stepdaughter, Daniele Emery Jackson of Marion; five brothers, George (Charlene) Tyler of Gracee, Ky., Frank Tyler of Florida, St. John Tyler of Lansing, Kan., Robert Tyler of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Joe Tyler of Cadiz, Ky.; a sister, Caroline (Granville) Buckley of Godfrey; six grandchildren, Marquis Acree, Lanette Acree, Shenelle Cavanaugh, Darrell Woods Jr., Marissa Acree and Isiah Acree; a great-grandchild, Lanique Smith; devoted friends, Bertha Acree and Carletta Robertson; several self-adopted children; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
