Winners of county lights contest announced

SALINE COUNTY - The Saline County Tourism Board announced the winners of its Holiday Lights Contest Monday.

The county was divided by school districts to create four distinct contest areas.

Becky Masterson took first place honors in the Galatia contest district with her home at 415 E. Illinois St.

Second place went to Bill Moore at 312 S. McKinley St. and third went to Jan Foster, 500 E. Church St.

In Eldorado, there was a two-way tie for first place. Brad and Sandy Payne at 1285 Goshen Trail Road and Michael McGuire at 650 Old Broughton Road tied for first place.

With the tie, the third-place spot went to Chris Clay, 27 E. Church St. in Raleigh.

In Harrisburg, first place went to Wayman and Cindy Winters at 1301 W. Barnett St.

Second place went to Della Roberson, 1429 S. Land St. and third place went to Beth and Kevin Barton, 524 W. Sloan St.

In Carrier Mills, Josh Cavins at 506 E. Hutson St. took first-place honors.

Mike Syers at 1106 N. Main St. took second place and Eric Rann at 206 Pyle Street took third place.
